it's been a while

Man..it's been a long time since i last updated. Well, like most of you know band camp is over...it had a great moments and had a few downers..but definitely was the best one I had!!! Having all sections participate in the theme days and especially during the POD Olympics was very cool. I think the last time we had a POD olympics like that was my freshman year and this year was definitely a lot more fun. Thanks to those that helped pull that together...especially James (he's been working really hard to keep people interested in the social events). I dont think I slept much during band camp, it was an average of 4-5 hours/night, but it was worth it.

First week of school has been great!!! i love all my classes but 1. Stats[...]CMM class is awful!! If i didnt need for my minor i would have dropped it from day 1. Ballroom dancing & Tae Kwon Do are the funniest classes I have. The kids & professors are interacting really well and it makes class a lot more fun (plus all of us are spastic ;))

So Mrs. Good sent my instrument to get fixed almost 2 weeks ago and I still dont have it!!! WTF!! I know there was a leak somewhere b/c i was TOOOO out of tune when i played by another tenor, but it cant take that long. We had our first performance today. We played for the faculty and staff picnic. Wish they had the same enthusiasm to interact with the band, that they do to teach and work here. The Band debuted the new polos. They look AWESOME!!!! I wore my red one and didnt march w/ the band because i still didnt have a uniform. The more time i dont have my instrument, i feel people are looking at me like a staff member and not as a student member. Which brings me to my next point...

It's always a boost when professors like Wiltshire & Morris can make fun or crack jokes about me to everyone (even w/ me being there) but when it comes down to having a CEO/Director meeting, they look at me and give me a compliment and tell me how proud they are of me b/c of all the things we are doing. That means more to me than they would ever know.

I was stopped by my fellow (John) today. I see him all the time at FH and i saw him last night but we didnt really talk much. So he stops me today near KU and starts explaining about the Student Neighborhood council and wanted to nominate me for represent our side. I thought that was so cool of him to ask. I felt so bad that i had to decline, because I'm not going to be here the whole year, otherwise i would have definitely done it.

Ok...i'm going to do some reading done here at work. Have a great day and an awesome week!!

Peace & Love
